From Hebrews 10:25, we are reminded to; Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
So, as the “Day Draws Near”, it is critically important that we address any church’s flat or dwindling numbers.
Often it is not the lack of preparation, and it is not the lack of a Biblically based message, it is the lack of worship. The lack of worship IS ABSOLUTELY THE REASON for dwindling numbers.
The "Knee-Jerk" reaction to flat or regressive numbers, and the most common solution among congregations, is to “Change Pastors”. However, changing the Pastor rarely fixes the problem, inasmuch as the real issue is the Congregational Attitude Towards Worship. Therefore, changing the Pastor without a change in Congregational Worship, accomplishes nothing!
This is neither trivial nor is it easy to navigate.
Your congregation must first understand the difference between Worship and Teaching. As simple as that sounds, Worship is KEY to the success of any Church. Unfortunately, Worship has been lost or watered down to the point that it has become undetectable in the vast majority of Churches.
We would be honored to be an integral part of your efforts to take a very pragmatic look at what your church can do to better serve God’s Children by bringing Worship back to the forefront and to be a contributing companion to the Teaching of God's Word.
